Our take, from the rated issues
Dovetail rounds out the top ten from Issue 002, and it solves the quietest expensive problem on the list: discovery that dies in someone's head. It is a customer knowledge hub whose AI clusters interviews, calls, and feedback into searchable themes, so every conversation the team has ever had stays queryable when prioritization season arrives.
The compounding is what earned it a slot over flashier tools. A single PM with Granola, ranked third, owns a personal research base; a team on Dovetail owns an institutional one, where the new PM can ask what enterprise users said about onboarding and get an answer drawn from six months of calls they never sat in. In our testing the auto-clustering got us to themes fast, and the clips behind each theme kept the evidence one click away for the roadmap debate.
The caveat is the same one every repository faces: it rewards teams that feed it.
